
Senior Business Analyst – Duck Creek Policy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Join a compact team of 2–5 business analysts dedicated to the planning, design, development, and launch of business, financial, and operational systems.
• Collect and evaluate data that supports business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements.
• Assist the Underwriting, Claims, and Billing & Collections business units within the Surplus & Specialty Lines Digital Services team.
• Engage with business stakeholders to determine goals, objectives, priorities, system requirements, and current challenges.
• Take part in roadmap planning activities.
• Collaborate with both business and IT stakeholders on the planning, design, development, and implementation of applications and enhancements.
• Facilitate or lead design sessions aimed at prototyping systems and enhancing business processes and information flow.
• Review the effectiveness and efficiency of user experiences and create strategies for improvement.
• Define and manage the scope, parameters, outcomes, and action plans for systems analysis.
• Investigate third-party software options for purchase-versus-build decisions.
• Analyze operating-system and process issues, offering recommendations or alternatives.
• Establish and oversee project timelines, delivery milestones, and communication strategies.
• Provide systems models, requirement specifications, diagrams, and charts to development and quality assurance teams.
• Monitor and manage issues, probable causes, and potential solutions.
• Ensure the compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
• Coordinate quality assurance, performance, end-user acceptance, and post-implementation testing and support.
• Prepare documentation, training materials, orientation, and training for end users.
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5+ years of specialized experience in a Business Analyst role supporting policy systems such as Duck Creek.
• Extensive experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of insurance software solutions, systems, or products that support underwriting, financial, or claims application systems.
• Solid understanding of the property and casualty insurance domain, preferably within Commercial or Specialty Insurance.
• Prior experience in Binding Authority underwriting is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Duck Creek Policy or similar platforms.
• Experience in delivering comprehensive insurance product implementations and enhancements.
• Proven project management capabilities.
