Senior Business Analyst – Discovery, Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete requirements process for client projects.

• Serve as the liaison between the client, product teams, and engineering departments.

• Facilitate client communications and discussions.

• Lead discovery and refinement meetings with clients in English.

• Define and challenge requirements effectively.

• Collaborate with the technical team to design solutions, particularly for AI and fintech initiatives.

• Analyze existing project structures and standardize documentation for consistency and testability.

• Create clear and testable specifications and acceptance criteria for developers.

• Transform uncertainties into open questions with designated owners and resolve them promptly.

• Assist in scope and ROM estimation, taking into account assumptions, dependencies, and levels of confidence.

• Utilize AI in analytical tasks and contribute to the development of AI-enabled solutions.

• Validate AI-generated outputs prior to delivery to clients or developers.

• Adhere to departmental quality standards and decision-making gates.

• Minimize unnecessary documentation while ensuring testability is preserved.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in client-facing roles.

• In-depth knowledge of fintech and banking, including financial products, processes, integrations, and data flows.

• Background in projects that incorporate AI as part of the product offering.

• Daily utilization of AI tools in analytical work, with a specific example of identifying erroneous AI outputs.

• Technical proficiency to engage effectively with developers and architects.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Systems Analyst in custom software development.

• At least 2 years of experience as the sole analyst on a project.

• Experience in initiating a product from the ground up, focusing on creating requirements rather than merely collecting them.

• Experience joining a project mid-course with documentation not authored by the candidate.

• Proficient in English at B2+ level; C1 is preferred.

• Strong discipline in writing specifications, including testable acceptance criteria.

• Confident daily user of Jira and Confluence.

• Ability to interpret designs in Figma.

• Nice to have: experience in pre-sales activities, including scope shaping, assumptions, ROM estimates, and proposal contributions.

• Nice to have: background in healthcare, logistics, or renewable energy sectors.

• Nice to have: familiarity with BPMN, UML, or ERD as tools for agreement.

• Nice to have: experience mentoring analysts or reviewing specifications created by others.
