Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Serve as the key liaison among commercial, operational, and technical teams.

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, converting them into functional and technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Create mappings and models for both current and future-state processes, data flows, and system interactions.

• Interpret technical concepts, trade-offs, and limitations in business terminology.

• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders and engineering teams while resolving uncertainties.

• Develop and sustain product-team knowledge encompassing technologies, social trends, economic conditions, regulations, and digital payments.

• Conduct technical, financial, commercial, economic, and social analyses through primary and secondary research.

• Take ownership of product-team metrics, reporting, and visualizations.

• Identify product and business opportunities, refining them into well-defined challenges.

• Execute discovery processes and collect qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate opportunities and assess their value, impact, and costs.

• Create business cases and assist with pricing and commercial analysis to prioritize the roadmap.

• Recognize operational challenges and collaborate with product managers and engineers to define and implement solutions.

• Manage analysis and requirements projects from start to finish.

• Support engineering delivery by clarifying requirements and validating results.

• Integrate scheme, regulatory, and payment-network requirements into analyses and recommendations.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, and sales teams to enhance products and services.

• Assist sales teams with analysis of customer data points.

• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Analyst team within the Product division.

• Mentor analysts while promoting curiosity, experimentation, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.

• Preferably experience in financial services, payments, or digital business models.

• Capability to connect business and technology, translating business needs into technical requirements.

• Preferred academic qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as Computing, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.

• Understanding of technologies, payment methods, business models, and customer challenges.

• Proficiency in writing requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.

• Experience collaborating with engineering teams.

• Practical knowledge of Looker, Tableau, SQL, and related data-reporting tools.

• Systematic approach to technical and financial challenges.

• Ability to take charge of and manage projects effectively.

• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.

• Skill in influencing stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in a global setting.

• Desirable: experience in leading or mentoring analysts.

• Desirable: familiarity with the APAC payments landscape and regional regulatory requirements.

• Desirable: understanding of software architectures, APIs, and cloud platforms.

• Desirable: experience using Miro or Draw.io for process mapping and modeling.

• Desirable: experience with agile product and engineering teams, experimentation, A/B testing, or pricing and commercial modeling.

• Must reside in the Philippines or have legal working capability there; sponsorship requirements are addressed in the application.
