Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior or lead member of a consulting team that supports clients in the Insurance Carrier sector.

• Implement, integrate, utilize, and enhance the SuranceBay platform.

• Comprehend and align client goals with the capabilities of the platform.

• Guide teams in configuring, learning, implementing, and managing the platform.

• Supervise, direct, or take part in multiple project assignments simultaneously.

• Manage timelines, prioritize and allocate tasks, and achieve project objectives.

• Facilitate client design sessions focused on business functionality and product logic.

• Collaborate with business, development, QA, and operations teams.

• Utilize expertise in the life insurance and annuity markets to suggest best practices and identify trends.

• Act as the primary contact between stakeholders and project teams.

• Ensure transparency, manage expectations, and assist in decision-making processes.

• Identify opportunities for process optimization and lead initiatives aimed at operational efficiency.

• Propose tools and systems to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related discipline (master’s degree or certifications are advantageous).

• A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in business analysis or consulting, particularly as part of agile teams focused on technology enhancements and implementations.

• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, JIRA, Confluence, and business intelligence applications.

• Experience with SureLC is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with life insurance distribution management frameworks and compliance standards.

• Understanding of licensing, contracting, training, and credentialing processes for producers and IMO/BGA related to life insurance, annuities, Medicare supplement, and group insurance.

• Knowledge of distribution hierarchies and compensation agreement structures.

• Expertise in gathering functional and non-functional requirements through business process flows, user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.

• Experience with Agile methodologies, including user story mapping and defining business requirements.

• Capability to write SQL queries.

• Ability to analyze and parse XML files.

• Expertise or willingness to learn software log analysis for troubleshooting purposes.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, consultative solutioning, communication, and presentation skills.
