Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the comprehensive requirements process throughout the POC, MVP, and full-launch stages.

• Convert business requirements into engineering-ready use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, and service-level specifications.

• Collaborate with client business, product, marketing, and operations stakeholders to clarify and prioritize needs.

• Align requirements with Jira epics, features, and tickets in partnership with the Team Lead and Project Manager.

• Ensure the maintenance of a single source of truth for requirements in SharePoint and Confluence.

• Lead and document discovery sessions, refinement workshops, and stakeholder reviews.

• Provide support for functional areas such as Order Management, Identity & Auth, Pricing, Inventory, Catalog, Notifications, and Analytics.

• Identify discrepancies between business requirements and user stories, ensuring delivery teams remain aligned with current specifications.

• Analyze legacy systems and workflows to aid in migration planning and identify integration dependencies.

• Keep scope documentation and change control records for POC, MVP, and full launch decisions up to date.

• Establish acceptance criteria for services and integrations, and assist QA with test case creation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst on software delivery projects, preferably within agile/scrum environments.

• Demonstrated capability to translate complex business needs into structured, developer-ready requirements, including user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.

• Experience in facilitating workshops and discovery sessions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Comfortable working across backend and frontend domains, including API contracts, data flows, and service dependencies.

• Proficient in maintaining requirements traceability across Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify gaps, ambiguities, and conflicts within requirements.

• Exceptional written and spoken English communication skills.

• Background in brownfield or platform modernization projects, including mapping legacy system behaviors and supporting migration plans.

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify Plus or BigCommerce.

• Experience with multi-vendor delivery models and managing requirements across various development teams.

• Exposure to REST APIs, event-driven architecture, microservices, and data flows.

• Understanding of B2B e-commerce, promotional products, or print-on-demand business models.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, marketplace integrations, or MarTech tooling.

• Experience with prioritization frameworks like P0/P1/P2 and phase-based scope management.
