Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Serve as a senior business process analyst to assist VA customers in their migration to the cloud.

• Spearhead initiatives focused on continuous process enhancement, organizational restructuring, change management, and performance measurement.

• Establish and refine business processes, policies, roles, responsibilities, and performance indicators.

• Execute assessments including current-state evaluations, gap analysis, benchmarking, best practices, and organizational reviews.

• Strategize and implement designs for future states, manage change processes, and oversee transition planning.

• Communicate and collaborate with customers, IT services, and client services.

• Supervise quality programs, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and enhance performance.

• Utilize Agile and SAFe methodologies to align strategies, manage portfolios, enhance collaboration, and expedite value delivery.

• Analyze and interpret policies, regulatory requirements, and agency guidelines to guarantee compliance.

• Work in coordination with business and technology teams to determine system requirements.

• Conduct interviews with clients to gather insights.

• Provide training and presentations on measurement, analysis, improvement, and control as necessary.

• Perform cost-benefit analyses when required.

• Offer technical solutions to complex issues and represent the organization in client interactions.

• Lead and actively participate in specific programs and projects with a degree of autonomy and general guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree along with ten (10) years or more of relevant experience is required.

• A degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical field is mandatory.

• Must be a US citizen with the capability to acquire and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Proficient in eliciting and documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows.

• Skilled in crafting functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flow diagrams.

• Experience with business modeling techniques and tools such as UML and BPMN is necessary.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or equivalent documentation tools is required.

• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies is essential.

• Proficient with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project.

• Basic understanding of database concepts and querying is needed.

• Proficient with data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar applications.

• Strong skills in analytical reasoning, critical thinking, presentation, documentation, and both verbal and written communication.

• Capability to translate technical information into business terminology.

• Experience in facilitating workshops and meetings is a plus.

• Ability to recognize issues, propose solutions, and make informed decisions.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders is advantageous.

• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior analysts and team members.

• Experience in managing and coordinating cross-functional project teams is essential.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, projects, and tasks while meeting deadlines.

• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices is desired.

• Ability to keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.

• Demonstrated capability to comprehend customer needs and deliver solutions that align with business goals.
