CPQ Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collect and examine data from working groups.

• Recognize existing processes and pinpoint areas needing enhancement.

• Investigate best practices and outline functional requirements for the software development team.

• Collaborate with the Pricing team to collect, analyze, and document requirements for the new CPQ system.

• Convert intricate pricing logic into comprehensive functional requirements for developers.

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT/software engineering teams.

• Work alongside developers to clarify requirements, address inquiries, and ensure precise implementation.

• Confirm delivered functionality through testing, QA support, and SME evaluations.

• Keep records of pricing logic, workflows, and system behavior within the CPQ platform.

• Spot opportunities for process improvements, automation, and system enhancements.

• Assist with enhancements, defect triage, and prioritizing the backlog.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and escalate relevant issues to senior management.

• Engage with business subject matter experts and delivery teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: ISEB qualified Business Analyst.

• 3–7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.

• Proficient in working within an agile environment and utilizing recognized development methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM, or KANBAN.

• Familiarity with CPQ tools, including custom-built platforms or Salesforce CPQ and Oracle CPQ.

• Strong grasp of pricing strategies, discounting, or revenue management concepts.

• Capability to translate complex business processes into technical specifications.

• Experience in writing functional requirements documents.

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
