Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development, analysis, and management of requirements for enterprise IT systems.

• Oversee testing processes and support validation activities.

• Enhance business requirements and draft technical user stories.

• Create functional mock-ups, test plans, and test cases.

• Organize and facilitate user acceptance testing.

• Engage in Agile Scrum ceremonies and PACER program planning meetings.

• Collaborate with customers to set expectations and ensure tight scope control.

• Work closely with Business Analysts and Product Owners to address challenges and clarify requirements.

• Seek opportunities to optimize and enhance end-to-end processes, product quality, requirements alignment, and customer satisfaction.

• Identify potential risks and communicate plans for mitigation.

• Resolve issues quickly and ensure follow-through until they are addressed.

• Partner with Architects, Testers, Product Owners, and stakeholders for alignment on deliverables.

• Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback concerning standardization and variations among court types and local regulations.

• Validate completed work items against established acceptance criteria.

• Assist Testers in formulating test cases and test steps.

• Maintain clear hierarchical process flows that enable end users to navigate through process maps efficiently.

• Support the PACER Development team in the development, operation, and maintenance of secure public-access court-record systems for the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

• Over 5 years of experience assisting the Product Owner and Agile team in identifying business needs, managing user stories, creating and updating technical documentation, and modeling business processes, system requirements, architecture, and data.

• Proven experience in supporting multiple teams and ensuring that overall objectives are achieved.

• Skilled in analyzing, decomposing, and documenting detailed requirements.

• Experience in crafting technical user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

• Ability to assist the Product Owner or Team Lead in outlining product scope, vision, and roadmap.

• Expertise in providing system analysis and serving as a subject matter expert.

• Familiarity with conducting business process and workflow analysis.

• Experience in performing gap analyses, workflow analysis, business process modeling, wireframes, and storyboards.

• Background in business process re-engineering.

• Capable of delivering technical presentations and leading meetings for diverse audiences.

• Strong technical foundation and experience collaborating with Solutions Architects and senior development team members.

• Experience in supporting the implementation of a resilient, zero-downtime web application.

• Solid understanding of current UI frameworks and libraries.

• Experience in assisting with testing by drafting acceptance criteria and verifying test case outcomes.

• Proven ability to produce relevant requirements, accurately size user stories, and eliminate obstacles before sprints begin.

• BS/BA degree or MA/MS degree with at least 4 years of experience.

• Demonstrated leadership skills.

• Excellent presentation and communication abilities.

• A consultant mindset with the capability to engage with high-level customer stakeholders.

• Experience in identifying and implementing industry tools, solutions, best practices, and emerging technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Skills: Business Process Flows, Developing Test Plans, Process Analysis, Requirements Analysis.
