Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Process payments for medical and pharmacy claims from both paper and electronic Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) on a daily basis.

• Reconcile accounts receivable and address any discrepancies or posting issues.

• Identify, assess, and rectify errors in claim postings and payments.

• Engage in client meetings to collect and document requirements while exploring possible solutions.

• Aid in the analysis and documentation of client business requirements and processes in accordance with established methodologies.

• Convey business requirements to technical staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field; OR 3–5 years of experience in medical claims posting and reconciliation.

• Strong understanding of medical and pharmacy claims adjudication as well as Medicaid reclamation claims.

• Proficient in SQL with the capability to extract and analyze data from relational databases.

• Familiarity with PeopleSoft Finance or comparable enterprise financial systems.

• Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; capable of troubleshooting independently.

• Experience with FTP protocols and secure file transfer methods.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.

• Video cameras are required to be used during all interviews and throughout the first week of orientation.
