Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive business analysis for intricate and innovative technology hardware and software initiatives.

• Assist with the Mainframe Reports and Extract efforts at the Railroad Commission of Texas.

• Collect, formulate, and document requirements through various techniques.

• Evaluate, analyze, and enhance business processes.

• Design and validate user acceptance testing.

• Offer research and special project assistance to users.

• Examine and document several interconnected report-related projects.

• Conduct data analysis and investigate the root causes of data discrepancies.

• Document data flows effectively.

• Create reports.

• Publish data to the DIR Open Data Portal or RRC website.

• Ensure that deliverables and materials adhere to established processes, procedures, quality standards, and recognized business analysis methodologies.

• May oversee or delegate tasks to others.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive (senior-level) experience in business analysis.

• Familiarity and expertise in Power BI, Snowflake, and data publishing.

• Proficient in data analysis and understanding the root causes of data errors.

• Experience with documenting data flows and developing reports.

• Knowledge of business analysis methodologies.

• Capability to work with limited to minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and independent judgment.
