Senior Blockchain Security Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the end-to-end development of the OpenZeppelin Contracts Library for Daml.

• Spearhead the technical design and execution of the year-1 Reference Implementations.

• Implement and oversee the OZ Daml versions of CIP-56, CIP-86, CIP-103, and CIP-104.

• Facilitate client-facing discussions regarding roadmaps, design, and milestones.

• Collaborate with OpenZeppelin's auditors and security researchers on threat modeling.

• Utilize AI systems as essential daily tools.

• Directly apply AI to security tasks and share successful approaches with the team.

• Provide feedback on developer experience and security to enhance the Canton protocol.

• Engage in open-ended research on privacy-preserving DeFi.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in production Daml. You have delivered substantial Daml projects in a production environment.

• Over 3 years of experience in developing UTXO-based protocols.

• More than 3 years of experience in DeFi engineering within production settings.

• A security-first mindset is essential; this is non-negotiable.

• A sense for library/SDK API design; you have created reusable developer libraries.

• Exposure to cross-chain interoperability; you have worked in production with at least one major cross-chain messaging protocol.

• Proficient in institutional/compliance design; you can design with native constraints such as credential gates, multi-party attestation, custody flows, and compliance hooks.

• An AI-native workflow; tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar are part of your daily routine.

• Experience in applying AI to security tasks; you have utilized AI in security workflows.

• Fluent in client-facing communication in English.

• Demonstrated autonomy and proactivity.
