Senior Billing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance comprehensive billing operations from start to finish

• Facilitate recurring automated billing for customers as well as intricate manual invoicing

• Ensure precise pricing, usage computations, and delivery timelines

• Collaborate with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Revenue Operations, Onboarding, Support, Success, and AR/Collections

• Manage client accounts, establish billing setups, monitor contract information, and resolve customer billing inquiries

• Review contract stipulations and Salesforce information for billing precision prior to signing

• Address billing conflicts and issue authorized credit/debit memos

• Accelerate cash recovery on overdue accounts

• Serve as an escalation point and perform root-cause analysis on recurring discrepancies

• Assist with escalations and reconciliation processes

• Support month-end closing activities and collaborate with Revenue Accounting on US GAAP revenue recognition

• Maintain documentation and audit trails for both internal and external financial audits

• Identify workflow deficiencies and operational bottlenecks

• Lead initiatives for automating and scaling billing infrastructure

• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for billing software, billing system deployments, and updates to system rules

• Drive efforts to refine billing processes across various entities

• Assist with billing-related reporting and perform ad hoc analyses

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable field of study

• 4-6+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or billing operations

• Ideally, experience in a B2B SaaS, technology, or high-volume setting

• In-depth knowledge of contract management, order-to-cash procedures, sales tax, basic revenue recognition (ASC 606), and accounts receivable principles

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous

• Capability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, management, and external partners
