Senior BI & Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Analyze intricate scientific datasets to extract insights and support strategic initiatives.

• Map business process rules ensuring data solutions align with operational realities.

• Develop insight-driven solutions that enhance visibility into KPIs and performance metrics.

• Conduct in-depth analyses and support evidence-based recommendations.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify requirements for current and future products.

• Facilitate requirements workshops and User Acceptance Testing for data, product, and analytics solutions.

• Examine business processes and create business flow and data flow diagrams.

• Work collaboratively across engineering, product, and business teams.

• Execute data profiling, mining, and validation/testing.

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and present findings in a clear manner.

• Cultivate strong business relationships and collaborative partnerships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A Master’s in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science is an asset.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in understanding complex datasets with a keen attention to detail.

• Capable of translating requirements into well-crafted user stories.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with business partners.

• Skilled in identifying key areas for in-depth analysis and supporting robust solutions.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.

• At least 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries, data mining, data profiling, and data validation/testing.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Systems Analyst / Data Analyst, specializing in Data & Analytics, ideally in a senior or lead capacity.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience organizing and conducting User Acceptance Testing cycles and training with business users and stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or MicroStrategy.

• Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology.

• Background in the life sciences or biotechnology industry is a plus.

• Must reside in Canada.
