Senior Benefits Specialist – U.S.

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Direct the comprehensive planning, execution, and management of annual U.S. Open Enrollment programs for various employee groups.

β€’ Formulate and oversee project plans, timelines, milestones, communications, and strategies for risk mitigation.

β€’ Facilitate collaboration across functions, including Human Resources, Payroll, Internal Communications, vendors, brokers, HCM teams, and other key stakeholders.

β€’ Supervise enrollment configurations, eligibility criteria, system testing, data integrity, and vendor integrations.

β€’ Develop and present employee communications, educational resources, presentations, webinars, FAQs, and materials for managers.

β€’ Act as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and support for employee benefit inquiries and enrollment processes.

β€’ Assist with benefits integration efforts associated with acquisitions, divestitures, workforce transitions, and commitments under Transitional Service Agreements.

β€’ Evaluate vendor performance and identify opportunities for process enhancements.

β€’ Generate reports, analytics, enrollment metrics, and recommendations to aid Total Rewards leadership and inform business decisions.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Communications, or a similar field is required.

β€’ At least 10 years of progressive experience in U.S. benefits administration is required.

β€’ 3-5 years of experience in leading Open Enrollment programs in mid-sized or large organizational settings.

β€’ Proven ability to manage complex benefits initiatives as a project manager.

β€’ Experience in supporting benefits activities related to mergers, acquisitions, integrations, divestitures, organizational changes, and TSA-related deliverables.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of U.S. employee benefits administration, enrollment procedures, compliance standards, and benefits systems.

β€’ Experience in managing vendor relationships, leading cross-functional teams, and providing executive-level reporting and presentations.

β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and reporting tools.

β€’ Proficient in English.

β€’ CBP, CEBS, or a related professional certification is preferred.
