This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with Market Directors, District Managers, and General Managers to create people strategies that enhance sales performance, partner engagement, retention, and operational excellence.
• Offer proactive HR consultation and strategic advice to field leaders.
• Guide leaders in areas such as performance management, talent development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership capabilities.
• Counsel leaders on performance management, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
• Partner on sensitive employee relations issues to minimize risk and ensure fair, consistent resolutions.
• Evaluate workforce metrics and devise action plans to boost business performance and partner experience.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting strategies for Pet Care Centers.
• Facilitate talent reviews and succession planning processes.
• Execute organizational changes, business initiatives, and enterprise HR programs.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant employment laws.
• Work alongside Centers of Excellence to provide HR solutions to the field.
• Advocate for partner engagement, Petco culture, and core values.
• Act as the primary HR liaison between the Support Center and field operations.
• Assist with workforce planning, organizational design, restructures, new store openings, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Proven experience working with retail field leadership and advising on people strategies.
• Strong knowledge of partner relations, talent management, organizational effectiveness, performance management, workforce planning, compliance, and leadership development.
• Capability to coach leaders on performance management, talent development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, change management, and leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency in interpreting policy and resolving employee relations conflicts.
• Ability to analyze workforce metrics such as turnover, retention, engagement, staffing, and labor trends.
• Familiarity with recruiting strategies and talent acquisition processes.
• Understanding of talent reviews and succession planning methodologies.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Ability to support workforce planning, organizational design, restructures, new store openings, and acquisitions.
