Senior Backend Engineer, Ruby

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the design and implementation of features from start to finish within DAP onboarding and repository/background workflows.

• Develop autonomous and scheduled agents that function on customer codebases, leveraging the Duo Agent Platform.

• Enhance the DAP onboarding process, enabling customers to configure and become productive with their projects swiftly.

• Collaborate with engineers throughout the DAP organization on common interfaces and design patterns.

• Evaluate designs and code, contributing to the team's technical excellence.

• Foster a culture of autonomy, ownership, high-context sharing, and asynchronous collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails in production environments.

• Experience in integrating LLMs into products (focused on product integration rather than ML model training).

• Proven experience in creating agentic systems: autonomous or semi-autonomous agents that perform actions on behalf of users.

• A history of independently designing and delivering features within a collaborative team setting.

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed, asynchronous environment.
