Senior Backend Engineer – Platform & Architecture, AppSec Solution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia.

📋 Description

• Oversee infrastructure and architectural projects across the organization alongside the Software Architect, managing the entire process from design to implementation across various teams.

• Establish and maintain shared foundations and standards for services.

• Guide the advancement of the data layer as customer needs grow.

• Develop foundational platforms for integrating AI agents within the OX product.

• Spearhead cost optimization on the application side, including service scaling using Kubernetes.

• Enhance reliability and observability across services.

• Promote AI-assisted development methodologies within R&D while upholding engineering standards.

• Facilitate technical alignment with team leaders, DevOps, and Product teams.

• Evaluate designs, promote reuse, and elevate the architectural standards across R&D.

• Create platform code and implement changes across various teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in backend engineering, demonstrating architect-level expertise in system design.

• Extensive production experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Regular utilization of AI tools and a proactive approach to adopting new AI technologies.

• In-depth experience with scalable databases, including data modeling, performance optimization, and the evolution of a production data layer.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience in platform engineering and infrastructure, with shared foundations that have been successfully implemented across teams.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and a solid understanding of DevOps practices.

• Proven ability to lead technical projects that span teams and influence outcomes without formal authority.

• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to create design documentation and conduct technical reviews.

• Practical knowledge of LLMs and AI agents.

• Experience in optimizing cloud costs.

• A background in cybersecurity or SaaS is preferred.
