Senior Backend-Developer – Agents, German-Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop and enhance autonomous Inbox-Agents that are activated by new activities within tickets.

• Create agent templates for customer utilization.

• Assess when agents should escalate issues to human agents and ensure adherence to established processes.

• Collaborate directly with property managers to optimize agent performance.

• Design engineering strategies for system prompts, skill development, and tool application.

• Enhance the custom knowledge base and improve AI knowledge retrieval capabilities.

• Ensure that support responses are incorporated into the knowledge base for future agent utilization.

• Construct voice agents on LiveKit for handling phone calls.

• Choose suitable LLMs, cache and stream responses, handle provider failures, streamline context, optimize RAG search, monitor provider usage, minimize costs, and conduct evaluations.

• Develop using a TypeScript-based stack that includes Convex, Next.js, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Vercel AI SDK, and Convex Agent Component.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in German is mandatory.

• Bilingual in German and English.

• Over 2 years of experience in building production agents that are AI-native.

• Experience delivering agentic features relied upon by real users.

• Insights on retrieval, evaluations, tool design, and the limitations of current frontier models.

• A builder mentality; readiness to release a rough version quickly.

• Current knowledge of new AI models and research advancements.

• Capable of writing nearly all code with the assistance of AI.

• Comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership of areas post-launch.

• Proficient in engaging with customers and transforming feedback into product decisions.

• Quick learner with a generalist approach rather than a specialist focus.

• The specific tech stack is not a concern; AI will generate all code.
