Senior Backend Engineer – Live Events, Ticketing SaaS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-throughput backend services and public-facing REST APIs on a multi-tenant platform.

• Integrate observability features through structured logging, time-series metrics, data capture, Grafana, and PagerDuty alerting.

• Conduct code reviews and advocate for resilient architectural patterns.

• Enhance database schema design and improve system reliability.

• Convert intricate business requirements into scalable, fault-tolerant technical designs in collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership.

• Identify systemic technical deficiencies and set engineering standards.

• Mentor team members of varying experience levels.

• Provide support for production services post-release.

• Engage in incident response and refine alert-threshold settings.

• Collaborate closely with US engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of backend software engineering experience in building scalable, enterprise-grade systems.

• Profound expertise in C# and .NET 8+.

• Strong relational database skills with SQL Server, T-SQL, schema design, and query optimization.

• Comprehensive ownership of production environments, encompassing telemetry, automated testing, regression analytics, and post-release support.

• Practical experience with multi-tenant, event-driven architecture and asynchronous messaging patterns like pub/sub and CQRS.

• Familiarity with deploying and managing services on cloud platforms; Azure preferred, AWS or GCP accepted.

• Advanced English communication skills and experience working directly with US stakeholders.

• Preferred experience with Azure Service Bus, App Insights, and Log Analytics/KQL.

• Knowledge of Grafana dashboards, PagerDuty incident management, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

• Background in high-frequency data processing, real-time marketplaces, fintech, or pricing engines is preferred.

• Experience using AI tools within engineering workflows for infrastructure and deployment automation is preferred.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations is a plus.

• Must currently reside in Latin America.
