Senior Backend Engineer, Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design and develop backend solutions using Java 21+, Spring Boot, and Spring Data.

• Participate in the definition and evolution of microservices architectures and hexagonal architecture.

• Create APIs with an API First approach utilizing OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Work with messaging systems and event-driven architectures using Kafka and other integration technologies.

• Develop solutions based on relational and NoSQL databases such as MariaDB and MongoDB.

• Engage in CI/CD processes and deployments on OpenShift/Kubernetes.

• Implement best practices in development, testing, and code quality.

• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and development quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development with Java.

• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Data, and REST API design.

• Experience with microservices, hexagonal architectures, and SOLID principles.

• Knowledge of Kafka, OpenShift/Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments.

• Familiarity with GitHub, SonarQube, Grafana, or Dynatrace.

• Interest or experience in AI-assisted development.

• Understanding of methodologies such as Spec Driven Development (SDD).

• Ability to thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrating autonomy and initiative.
