Senior Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.

• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to create new product features from initial concept to deployment.

• Take ownership of significant aspects of backend architecture, making decisions to enhance performance, reliability, and security.

• Produce comprehensive unit tests and perform detailed code reviews.

• Recognize and implement system enhancements while refactoring legacy code.

• Provide mentorship and share engineering knowledge with peers.

• Incorporate AI into daily tasks and identify opportunities for AI to enhance engineering workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of backend development experience, ideally in a product-focused environment.

• Strong practical experience with Node.js and modern frameworks such as Koa or NestJS.

• Extensive knowledge of TypeScript, including advanced typing and module systems.

• Solid experience with MongoDB or alternative NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture utilizing Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Bull/Redis.

• Practical experience with ClickHouse or similar analytics databases and Elasticsearch.

• Strong grasp of system design, clean architecture principles, and performance optimization.

• Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and drive projects to completion.

• Comfortable collaborating within a Russian-speaking team.
