Senior Backend Developer, Java, Spring Boot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and create scalable backend systems utilizing Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.

• Develop and sustain microservices and RESTful APIs to facilitate business operations.

• Implement data access through Spring Data and JPA, managing both relational and non-relational databases.

• Leverage messaging queues like Kafka and RabbitMQ for communication between services.

• Compose unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito to guarantee code quality.

• Ensure application security and optimize performance by adhering to best practices.

• Assist in the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver high-quality software solutions.

• Monitor systems using tools such as New Relic.

• Support transformation, continuous improvement, and scaling of a B2B e-commerce platform active in 40 countries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Java and associated frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot).

• Comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

• Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.

• Knowledge of messaging systems, including Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

• Proficient in CI/CD methodologies and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to design effective solutions.

• Excellent communication abilities in English.

• A proactive mindset.

• Understanding of data structures, object-oriented programming, and problem-solving fundamentals.

• Knowledge of design patterns, clean code practices, and industry best practices.

• Familiarity with testing concepts (regression, smoke, stress, unit, integration, automation, e2e).
