Senior Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain robust backend applications utilizing Python.

• Design and create scalable, efficient microservices architectures.

• Leverage AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and RDS to design, develop, and deploy cloud-based applications.

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.

• Ensure that backend systems fulfill performance, reliability, security, business, and customer requirements.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to establish system architecture and technical strategies.

• Diagnose complex issues and enhance system efficiency to minimize downtime.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend technologies.

• Expertise in Python (experience with Django is an advantage).

• Proficient in the Ukrainian language.

• Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) for container orchestration and management.

• Experience in developing and deploying cloud solutions using AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, and RDS.

• Solid foundation in microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Strong debugging abilities and knowledge of performance optimization techniques.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with developers, product managers, and engineers.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (preferred).

• Experience with Docker (preferred).

• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices (preferred).
