Senior Azure Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Play a significant role in promoting the adoption of AI-first software development methodologies within the project team.

• Leverage AI coding assistants and AI-enhanced development platforms for solution design, implementation, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent instructions, development workflows, validation processes, and safeguards for responsible AI-assisted development.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS functionalities.

• Utilize C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure technologies, such as Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, AKS, ACA, and Event Hubs, in development.

• Contribute to architectural design and technical decision-making processes.

• Engage in code reviews, CI/CD practices, and ensure readiness for releases.

• Take ownership of essential product components within an Agile SCRUM framework.

• Design and implement new features for Quest's On Demand Migration SaaS solution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in developing applications with Microsoft SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams.

• Familiarity with O365, CSOM, Microsoft SharePoint Migration API, or Microsoft Graph API.

• A completed undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.

• At least five years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong practical experience with C# and .NET.

• Professional exposure to AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a key aspect of software development.

• Advanced hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-driven development platforms.

• Capability to utilize AI coding tools to enhance software design, productivity in implementation, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code review, or technical documentation.

• Experience in developing Azure cloud applications using event-driven, service-oriented, or microservice architectures.

• Proficiency in building scalable backend services and distributed systems.

• Preferred experience in SharePoint development or administration.

• Preferred familiarity with Microsoft 365, CSOM, or Microsoft Graph API.

• Preferred experience in asynchronous programming.

• Preferred experience in developing and maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Preferred experience with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security.

• Preferred experience with Angular or React and TypeScript.
