Senior Azure Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in implementing AI-first software development methodologies within the project team.

• Leverage AI coding agents and AI-enhanced development platforms for solution design, execution, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code evaluations, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent instructions, development workflows, validation processes, and guidelines for responsible AI-assisted development.

• Develop, test, and sustain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS functionalities.

• Utilize C#/.NET alongside Microsoft Azure technologies, including Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Event Hubs.

• Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making processes.

• Engage in code reviews, CI/CD practices, and ensure release readiness.

• Take ownership of essential product components within an Agile SCRUM framework.

• Design and implement innovative features for Quest's On Demand Migration SaaS solution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in Microsoft SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams development.

• Familiarity with O365, CSOM, Microsoft SharePoint Migration API, or Microsoft Graph API.

• Possession of a computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

• A minimum of five years in professional software development roles.

• Strong practical experience in C# and .NET.

• Proven experience using AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a significant component of real software development projects.

• Advanced practical knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-driven development platforms.

• Capability to utilize AI coding tools to enhance software design, implementation efficiency, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code review, or technical documentation.

• Experience in constructing Azure cloud applications utilizing event-driven, service-oriented, or microservices architectures.

• Knowledge in developing scalable backend services and distributed systems.

• Experience with SharePoint development or administration.

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, CSOM, or Microsoft Graph API.

• Asynchronous programming skills.

• Experience in developing and maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security.

• Experience with Angular or React and TypeScript.
