Senior Azure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create highly available networking solutions within Azure, GCP, and on-premises settings.

• Develop monitoring solutions utilizing KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor.

• Revamp network security architecture by implementing Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups, and micro-segmentation.

• Establish Infrastructure as Prompt to enhance strategic infrastructure automation capabilities.

• Design governance frameworks using Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise governance standards.

• Innovate decentralized network management strategies while maintaining security integrity.

• Formulate disaster recovery plans, automated failover testing, and recovery simulations.

• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry for detecting and responding to cyber threats.

• Work collaboratively with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams on troubleshooting, connectivity, and routing issues.

• Simplify and communicate complex technical concepts into architectural recommendations and decision documents.

• Investigate Zero Trust Network Access technologies such as Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures.

• Proficient in Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability tools.

• Enthusiasm for emerging technologies like Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.

• Experience with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking is preferred.

• A strong desire to learn new technologies, share knowledge, and simplify complex networking topics for diverse audiences.
