Senior Azure Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Design highly available networking solutions for Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

• Create monitoring solutions utilizing KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts, and Azure Connection Monitor.

• Modernize network security frameworks with Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups, and micro-segmentation.

• Establish Infrastructure as Prompt as a key capability for infrastructure automation.

• Design governance guardrails for the Azure networking platform through Azure Policies, Blueprints, and enterprise standards.

• Develop decentralized network management strategies that maintain security integrity.

• Formulate disaster recovery plans, automated failover testing, and recovery simulations.

• Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and network telemetry for the detection, investigation, and response to cyber threats.

• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams regarding troubleshooting, connectivity, and routing issues.

• Enhance connectivity between Azure, GCP, and on-premises environments.

• Work alongside teams managing Sophos-based network infrastructures.

• Convert technical concepts into architectural recommendations and decision papers.

• Investigate Zero Trust Network Access technologies, including Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link, and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor, and cloud observability.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management, and intelligent network automation.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall, or enterprise on-premises networking is preferred.

• A strong enthusiasm for learning new technologies and sharing insights.

• Capability to simplify intricate networking topics for various audiences.

• Ability to assist engineering teams in developing secure and scalable solutions.
