This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support Mission Produce’s global networks and server infrastructure across cloud environments, ERP systems, offices, data centers, and remote locations.
• Conduct routine administrative responsibilities such as patching and upgrading or replacing hardware.
• Monitor network services and address break/fix issues and support requests submitted via the ticketing system.
• Collaborate with the IT Network Engineering Manager and global IT teams on additions, expansions, recommendations, new solutions, and enhancements.
• Work with vendor support and external contractors to resolve outstanding tickets.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software for networks, servers, workstations, and peripherals.
• Oversee and maintain access-layer network devices across Mission’s global enterprise.
• Plan, install, configure, and maintain local area network switches and wireless networks.
• Execute scheduled maintenance, updates, and patching to mitigate security issues and vulnerabilities.
• Manage routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers, and wireless access points.
• Adhere to established standard operating procedures while working as part of a team.
• Read, create, and modify technical procedures and drawings.
• Assist the IT Network Engineering Manager with the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of network connectivity.
• An associate degree or a comparable combination of work experience, education, and training.
• 3–5 years of experience in network administration, specifically managing routers, switches, and wireless networks.
• Hands-on experience in installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Cisco data and wireless networks.
• Strong familiarity with Cisco IOS, encompassing routers, switches, and wireless LAN controllers.
• Proficient in configuring VLANs and comprehending STP and RSTP.
• Practical experience in troubleshooting L1, L2, and L3 issues.
• Capability to configure network devices using the CLI.
• Experience with IP networking design and operations under RFC 1918, including subnetting, VLSM, and CIDR notation.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting network problems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, RADIUS, TACAC+, and AAA.
• Willingness to travel to remote sites in various geographical areas if necessary.
• On-call availability and the ability to work outside regular business hours based on business requirements.
• Capability to work in manufacturing, food processing, and cold storage settings.
• Ability to lift and rack IT equipment, such as routers and switches, in data centers and networking IDFs.
• Willingness to work Eastern Time hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET.
• Required to respond to work authorization/sponsorship questions for legal employment in the United States.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, MSCE, A+, Net+, Security+.
• Bilingual Spanish is an advantage.
