Senior Azure AI Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in promoting the adoption of AI-first software development methodologies within the project team.

• Utilize AI coding agents and AI-enhanced development platforms extensively in daily product engineering activities, including solution design, implementation, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code reviews, and technical documentation.

• Create reusable prompts, agent instructions, development workflows, validation procedures, and guardrails to ensure consistent and responsible AI-assisted software development.

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable, serverless, cloud-native SaaS solutions using C#/.NET and Microsoft Azure technologies.

• Engage with Azure Functions, Microsoft Graph API, Azure Data Explorer, Cosmos DB, AKS, Azure Container Apps, and Event Hubs.

• Contribute to architecture, technical decision-making, code reviews, CI/CD, release readiness, and ownership of essential product components within an Agile SCRUM framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of five years of professional software development experience.

• Strong hands-on expertise in C# and .NET.

• Proven professional experience utilizing AI coding agents, AI-assisted development tools, or agentic development workflows as a significant aspect of actual software development tasks.

• Advanced practical knowledge of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar AI-powered development platforms.

• Demonstrated capability to leverage AI coding tools to enhance software design, implementation efficiency, code quality, automated testing, debugging, troubleshooting, refactoring, code review, or technical documentation.

• Experience in developing Azure cloud applications using event-driven, service-based, or microservice architectures.

• Proven experience in building scalable backend services and distributed systems.

• Deep understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, SOLID principles, secure development, automated testing, continuous integration, debugging, and maintainable software architecture.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, technical leadership, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an Agile team setting.

• Experience in developing and maintaining YAML CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar systems.

• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI Service, large language model APIs, evaluation frameworks, observability, or AI application security.

• Experience with Angular or React and TypeScript.
