This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of AWS services utilizing Terraform.
• Deploy, configure, secure, and sustain infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments.
• Construct and standardize reusable Terraform modules.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
• Manage containerized workloads on ECS/Docker, including deployment strategies and rolling updates.
• Diagnose infrastructure and automation issues effectively.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and observability with tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, and AppDynamics.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for responding to production incidents.
• Apply cybersecurity best practices and support operations in compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with security and networking teams on secure configurations, change controls, and processes that are audit-ready.
• Support business continuity and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
• Partner with engineering, security, networking, and application teams.
• Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), system diagrams, and secure configuration baselines.
• Produce Root Cause Analysis documentation and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including federal representatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least six years of practical experience in AWS cloud and DevOps/platform engineering.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Terraform for AWS infrastructure automation.
• Strong experience with Jenkins/CI-CD pipelines, including YAML and Groovy pipeline scripting.
• Familiarity with Docker containerization.
• Strong scripting capabilities in Python and/or Bash.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, zero-trust concepts, and compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27000, and FedRAMP/FISMA.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance.
• Approved Public Trust adjudication is required prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
• Active Public Trust or suitability is preferred.
• Experience with Backstage or other internal developer platforms is preferred.
• ServiceNow administration experience is preferred.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with Splunk, Zabbix, and AppDynamics is preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, Kiro, or Cursor is preferred.
• Travel may be required up to 10%.
