Senior Associate – Trade Operations, Exports

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete export process along with various miscellaneous tasks in accordance with the Bank’s internal policies, SOPs, ICC guidelines, and authorizing transactions within the processing system.

• Address all aspects of Trade Finance across different business segments.

• Ensure that processing aligns with SOP/OPMs and UCP/ISBP/ISP, including charge recovery in line with applicable regulations.

• Conduct sanction checks on relevant parties in documentation.

• Manage Commodity Trade Operations documentation.

• Authorize and enter transactions into the system.

• Prepare and approve relevant SWIFT messages.

• Complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Team Head.

• Communicate errors and knowledge gaps with the line manager/team to resolve customer service concerns.

• Guarantee no revenue loss from uncollected charges.

• Ensure that there are no outstanding reconciliation entries in Nostro or internal accounts.

• Implement corrective and preventive measures based on customer feedback, operational mistakes, and quality/RCSA analysis.

• Suggest modifications to SOP, OPM, and ADM to enhance service levels while maintaining control measures.

• Propose training sessions and workshops to address knowledge gaps and foster ownership of solutions.

• Promptly escalate errors, customer complaints, service quality issues, and concerns raised by counterparties to management.

• Share responsibilities with senior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations.

• Advanced knowledge of Export LC Payments, Discounting, and Risk participations.

• In-depth understanding of accounting entries and UATs.

• Knowledge of amortization principles.

• Strong communication, team management, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure, possessing excellent organizational skills and being a good team player.
