📋 Description

• Deliver an impartial analysis of competitors' product lines, capabilities, and overall value propositions.

• Conduct evaluations of competitors within the annuities and retirement savings sectors.

• Work collaboratively with the Competitive Intelligence team to carry out research activities.

• Approach competitor products, services, and strategies with both strategic and tactical thinking.

• Communicate the competitive implications for Protective Life effectively.

• Partner with Line-of-Business teams to establish business goals, customer demographics, and product offerings.

• Create marketing strategies that align with sales and growth objectives, utilizing market insights, competitor evaluations, and customer behavior trends.

• Produce strategic briefs for marketing initiatives and go-to-market strategies.

• Collaborate with research, stakeholders, and Line-of-Business teams to formulate strategic messaging platforms.

• Ensure that campaigns are consistent with marketing plans, Line-of-Business goals, and messaging platforms.

• Review and share campaign outcomes while identifying areas for optimization.

• Monitor marketing projects using the project management system and act as a subject matter expert for channel marketing endeavors.

• Oversee Line-of-Business budgets to ensure alignment with annual strategies and go-to-market efforts.

• Serve as a liaison among Line-of-Business teams, marketing departments, and external partners.

• Facilitate internal communications regarding marketing projects and their outcomes.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing, product marketing, channel marketing, or related fields, ideally in a B2B context.

• Experience in crafting and implementing strategic marketing plans and go-to-market strategies that promote business growth.

• Background in financial services, insurance, retirement, or other regulated industries is preferred.

• Demonstrated capability to convert business goals and market insights into impactful marketing strategies, messaging, and value propositions.

• Proven track record of building strong relationships, influencing decision-making, and fostering alignment among cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.

• Familiarity with marketing analytics and performance metrics to assess results and enhance outcomes.

• Experience in managing marketing budgets and ensuring they align with annual business and go-to-market plans.

• Capability to handle multiple complex projects at once while managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Proficient in enterprise project management tools (e.g., Workfront) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong understanding of the Insurance and Retirement sectors and their market landscapes.

• Knowledge of customer demographics, behaviors, and primary competitors.

• Proficient in developing marketing strategies, campaign planning, and execution.

• Extensive knowledge of customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and targeting.

• Well-versed in digital marketing channels, including social media, email, SEO/AEO, PPC, and content marketing.

• Expertise in utilizing paid, earned, and owned media for brand expansion.

• Strong grasp of ROI, CAC, LTV, and engagement rate metrics.

• Familiarity with A/B testing, audience segmentation, and personalization methods.

• Awareness of GDPR, CCPA, and marketing compliance regulations.

• Understanding of advertising and content guidelines for various platforms.

• Ability to contribute to long-term marketing strategies that align with business goals.

• Skills in prioritizing projects within budgetary constraints.

• Expertise in managing cross-functional campaigns with multiple deliverables and timelines.

• Excellent organizational skills to oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources.

• Ability to tailor messaging for diverse channels and audiences.

• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and garner support across Lines of Business and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in mentoring junior associates or collaborating with cross-functional teams.
