This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Generate precise and compliant assessments and estimates for vehicle damage repairs across all makes and models, utilizing manufacturers' and Thatcham research-approved repair methodologies.
• Oversee, process, and approve vehicle damage assessments promptly, adhering to Audatex and best practice standards.
• Evaluate and appraise vehicles that are beyond economical repair in accordance with industry and AQP standards, employing industry guides and tools.
• Negotiate and resolve conflicts with customers and vehicle damage repairers.
• Act as a technical point of contact for clients, claims teams, and repair management teams.
• Offer assistance on vehicle repair and total loss engineering referrals.
• Deliver technical analytics services, which include audits, third-party cost reviews, and assessments of fraud and compliance.
• Utilize knowledge of FSA, ABI, and FOS regulations and standards for processing motor claims.
• Address technical motor engineering challenges and provide training and guidance to team members.
• Interact with internal teams and external partners, fostering stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee quality assurance standards and compliance requirements, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
• Achieve engineering task processing requirements along with business KPIs and targets.
• At least 3 years of experience in motor engineering, damage assessment, or claims handling.
• Professional qualification in motor damage assessment (IAEA, ATA VDA, or an equivalent recognized qualification).
• Qualification in the motor repair industry (IMI, ATA, NVQ, or City and Guilds).
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle accident repair industry standards and best practices.
• Proven experience with Audatex or similar damage assessment systems.
• Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a track record in dispute resolution.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
• Solid understanding of the motor insurance industry, including FSA, ABI, and FOS regulations.
• Desirable: experience in quality assurance, compliance monitoring, audit functions, technical analytics, or fraud assessment.
• Desirable: experience in team leadership, mentoring, or training delivery.
