Senior Associate – Cyber Threat Response Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify, analyze, and address security incidents to reduce potential damage and safeguard against future threats.

• Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies and measures to mitigate threats.

• Perform forensic investigations and digital forensics to assist incident management.

• Employ endpoint forensics and threat detection methods to improve security operations.

• Work collaboratively with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to effectively manage security incidents.

• Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations that contribute to cybersecurity governance.

• Maintain and reinforce professional and technical standards, including adherence to the Firm's code of conduct and independence requirements.

• Utilize a diverse array of tools, methodologies, and techniques to innovate and solve challenges.

• Demonstrate integrity, empathy, and diligence in the roles of Incident Response manager and analyst.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• At least 2 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and threat intelligence.

• Experience in incident management, incident remediation, and planning for incident response.

• Strong analytical thinking and technical communication capabilities.

• Ability to adapt to an evolving threat landscape.

• Skills in incident response, including host/network forensics, log analysis, and timeline correlation.

• Knowledge of investigative theory and best practices for effective analysis.

• Proficient in professional communication and effectively conveying complex information.

• Training and certifications in Cloud, Digital Forensics Incident Response (DFIR), and penetration testing are beneficial.

• Understanding of security architecture and its application in cybersecurity strategies is advantageous.

• Experience with cloud security platforms and related technologies is a plus.
