This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Oversee all facets of the designated sales territory, which includes launching and selling products, achieving territory objectives, and fulfilling customer requirements.
• Deliver outstanding value and service by utilizing approved marketing and corporate resources to assist providers in identifying and initiating appropriate patients on therapy.
• Achieve results through strategic territory business planning and execution.

• Cultivate relationships with healthcare professional customers, key opinion leaders, and pertinent stakeholders.
• Address customer concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Assess sales potential and implement suitable calls, reach, frequency, business meals, and speaker programs within budget and policy frameworks.
• Collaborate effectively with sales management, regional and area teammates, as well as cross-functional teams such as patient access, market access, patient advocacy, sales operations, training, and marketing.
• Participate in patient/caregiver advocacy events, conferences, and training sessions, which may include weekends.
• Enhance knowledge of neuroscience and Acadia products while understanding local and regional market dynamics.
• Offer guidance on pricing and reimbursement, coordinating with cross-functional teams on reimbursement inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with regulations while executing responsibilities in a professional and accountable manner.
• Seek leadership opportunities and engage in personal development initiatives.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory, with a strong preference for candidates in life sciences.
• Senior Area Business Manager role requires 8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, with at least 5 years in specialty sales (focus on rare diseases).
• Preferred background in specialty sales related to rare diseases, CNS/neurology, or pediatric neurology, along with familiarity with specialty distribution and access.
• Advanced selling and communication skills, capable of establishing enduring relationships with KOLs, Centers of Excellence, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally to devise and implement actionable business plans that guarantee patient access to therapy.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, accompanied by a self-driven and proactive demeanor.
• Must reside within the territory, possess a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel extensively, including overnight stays and air travel.
• Must maintain good standing with the FDA and OIG.
• Requires significant driving of a company-provided vehicle and overnight and air travel as dictated by territory geography.
• Must live within 30 miles of the required territory cities and ideally within a reasonable distance of a major airport.
• Ability to travel up to 80% and work after hours as needed based on travel schedules or business demands.
