Senior Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain the IT architecture framework of the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals, industry standards, and emerging technologies.

• Act as a hands-on technical architect and subject matter expert in areas such as Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Metadata Management, Data Catalog, and AI-driven data management platforms.

• Design, execute, and uphold enterprise data architecture standards, including canonical data models, metadata frameworks, and governance practices.

• Lead the technical design and configuration of MDM solutions, encompassing data modeling, matching, survivorship, hierarchy management, and integration patterns.

• Assess enterprise data quality issues through data profiling, root cause analysis, quality evaluations, and measurement frameworks.

• Establish remediation strategies and business rules aimed at enhancing data reliability and compliance.

• Architect and refine Data Catalog and Metadata Management capabilities, including business glossaries, lineage, classification, stewardship, and metadata enhancement.

• Identify and integrate AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation features for data quality monitoring, anomaly detection, metadata enhancement, entity resolution, stewardship workflows, and governance operations.

• Offer technical leadership and guidance to architecture and development teams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

• Design comprehensive IT solutions that encompass infrastructure, applications, data, and security components.

• Assess and propose technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance IT capabilities and stimulate innovation.

• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure compliance with architectural principles, standards, and guidelines.

• Identify and address architectural risks and challenges.

• Define and maintain IT architecture documentation, including diagrams, standards, policies, and procedures.

• Remain updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

• Deliver high-quality, scalable data products that significantly impact company performance.

• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant and equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of educational qualifications.

• At least 10 years of experience in Enterprise, Business, Information, Systems, Application, or Solution Architectures.

• Strong expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale IT solutions across various platforms and technologies.

• Practical experience with enterprise data architecture, Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Catalog, MDM, or similar data management solutions.

• Experience in implementing data solutions within Microsoft Azure.

• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their respective services.

• Proficient in system integration techniques, including API design, microservices architecture, and message queuing protocols.

• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

• Preferred: A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Preferred: Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development, and/or healthcare IT.
