Principal Consultant – Informatica MDM Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery sessions with stakeholders from business, data, security, integration, and applications.

• Architect comprehensive end-to-end Informatica MDM solutions for customer, product, supplier, reference, and various enterprise data domains.

• Develop canonical data models, define hierarchies, relationships, crosswalks, match and merge rules, survivorship logic, trust frameworks, and processes for golden records.

• Create current-state and target-state architectures, implementation roadmaps, effort estimates, and sequencing recommendations.

• Establish integration patterns for Salesforce and other source and consuming systems utilizing APIs, batch processing, event-driven services, middleware, and Informatica integration functionalities.

• Ensure MDM design aligns with Salesforce solution architecture, identity resolution, account and contact models, product and reference data, consent and privacy requirements, and downstream analytics.

• Design processes for data quality, profiling, cleansing, validation, enrichment, exception handling, and remediation.

• Define workflows, stewardship, role-based access, auditability, and governance controls.

• Specify nonfunctional requirements regarding performance, scalability, availability, security, recoverability, monitoring, and supportability.

• Provide technical guidance throughout configuration, development, testing, deployment, and stabilization in production.

• Oversee data conversion and migration efforts, including source assessment, mapping, reconciliation, cutover planning, and post-load validation.

• Identify delivery risks and architectural decisions, document tradeoffs, and present recommendations to both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Collaborate with project leadership to plan tasks, manage dependencies, and synchronize onshore and offshore delivery teams.

• Assist in proposals, solution estimates, statements of work, client presentations, and technical demonstrations.

• Mentor consultants and engineers, contribute to reusable architecture patterns and delivery resources, and enhance Informatica MDM capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in enterprise data management consulting or delivery, including hands-on leadership of Informatica MDM implementations.

• Architectural proficiency with Informatica Master Data Management Cloud, Multidomain MDM SaaS, or Informatica multidomain MDM, with in-depth knowledge in at least one master data domain.

• Strong understanding of MDM principles, including data modeling, match and merge, survivorship, hierarchy management, data stewardship, workflow, reference data, and management of golden records.

• Experience in integrating MDM platforms with Salesforce and other enterprise applications via REST or SOAP APIs, messaging, middleware, batch interfaces, or event-driven patterns.

• Working knowledge of data quality, metadata, governance, privacy, security, and lineage practices within the context of an enterprise data architecture.

• Proven experience leading architecture throughout the complete delivery lifecycle, from discovery and solution design to testing, deployment, and production support.

• Capability to assess legacy and cloud platforms, define modernization or migration strategies, and articulate technical tradeoffs to client stakeholders.

• Strong SQL and data analysis capabilities, with the ability to evaluate source data, mappings, transformations, and reconciliation results.

• Displayed client-facing consulting abilities, including workshop facilitation, executive communication, documentation, estimation, and issue resolution.

• Experience in leading distributed teams and coordinating efforts among architects, developers, data engineers, analysts, administrators, and business stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: Experience with Business 360 Console and Informatica business applications.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud capabilities.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce industry or core clouds.

• Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms, data warehouses or lakehouses, and enterprise integration technologies.

• Preferred: Certifications in Informatica, Salesforce, cloud platforms, data governance, or architecture.

• Preferred: Experience in shaping MDM programs across multiple business units, geographical regions, or data domains.
