Senior Applications Developer – ColdFusion, Oracle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and support enterprise applications utilizing Adobe ColdFusion and CFML.

• Create applications with a focus on testability, maintainability, reliability, and performance.

• Execute automated unit, integration, functional, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Develop and manage automated test suites using Selenium or similar testing tools.

• Employ SonarQube or similar platforms to detect defects, vulnerabilities, code smells, duplications, and maintainability concerns.

• Set up and uphold automated testing and code quality controls throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Conduct source control, peer code reviews, configuration management, defect resolution, and root cause analysis.

• Troubleshoot and pinpoint defects across database, application, integration, and user interface layers.

• Assist with release readiness, regression testing, deployment validation, and production stabilization.

• Create and sustain technical documentation for development, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of professional software development experience.

• Advanced practical experience in developing enterprise applications with Adobe ColdFusion and CFML.

• Strong expertise in Oracle backend development, including SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, views, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Proven ability to develop, maintain, and troubleshoot integrated ColdFusion and Oracle applications.

• Solid background in software testing, including automated testing using Selenium or similar tools.

• Experience with source control, configuration management, and defect resolution processes.

• Capability to isolate defects across various application layers and identify the root cause.

• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation; no security clearance is necessary.

• Experience in building or establishing test automation frameworks is preferred.

• Previous experience with federal government or federal contractor roles is preferred.

• Working knowledge of SonarQube or an equivalent code quality tool is preferred.
