Senior Application Engineer, Database ETL Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Engage with customers to identify and document their business requirements.

• Develop tailored data integration solutions linking Talent HR applications with third-party payroll, HRIS, and ERP systems.

• Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes for integrating customer payroll and workforce data.

• Create custom SQL and scripting solutions to fulfill customer needs and facilitate integrations.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, Product Development, Engineering, Sales, Technical Support, and the Project Management Organization.

• Act as a technical consultant for solutions related to databases, integrations, and data migrations.

• Diagnose and resolve issues with customer database solutions, integrations, and data migrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8+ years of pertinent and related work experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

• Experience with databases that support customer solutions.

• Proficiency in programming for developing custom scripts and integrations.

• ETL experience in relation to payroll data integrations.

• SQL programming expertise for customer database integrations.

• Experience in SQL/MySQL scripting.

• Capability to lead requirements-gathering sessions and present effective solutions.

• Proficient in programming and analyzing scripts using Python, Java, Batch, and PowerShell.

• Experience with Pentaho ETL.

• Background in customer-facing roles or consulting.

• Familiarity with supporting HRIS, ERP, or payroll system integrations.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Knowledge of Salesforce.
