Senior Application Engineer, Database ETL Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Engage with clients to identify and document their business needs.

• Develop tailored data integration solutions between Talent HR applications and external payroll, HRIS, and ERP systems.

• Design, implement, and maintain ETL processes for payroll and workforce data integrations on behalf of customers.

• Create custom SQL and scripting solutions to fulfill customer needs and facilitate integrations.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, team members, Product Development, Engineering, Sales, Technical Support, and the Project Management Organization.

• Act as a technical consultant for database, integration, and data migration solutions.

• Diagnose and provide support for customer database solutions, integrations, and data migrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8+ years of relevant work experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

• Experience with databases in support of customer solutions.

• Proficiency in programming for developing custom scripts and integrations.

• ETL experience focused on payroll data integrations.

• SQL programming expertise in support of customer database integrations.

• Proficient in SQL/MySQL scripting.

• Capability to lead requirements-gathering sessions and present tailored solutions.

• Ability to program and analyze scripts in Python, Java, Batch, and PowerShell.

• Experience with Pentaho ETL.

• Customer-facing and consulting experience.

• Familiarity with HRIS, ERP, or payroll system integrations.

• Strong organizational abilities.

• Excellent written communication skills.

• Knowledge of Salesforce.
