Senior Application Analyst – Epic Beaker, EpicCare Link

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the estimation process for enhancement or support requests.

• Direct the design of workflows, configure and test system modifications, and analyze technical challenges.

• Collaborate with business systems stakeholders and software vendor implementation teams.

• Ensure alignment of business requirements with the delivery of systems modifications.

• Cultivate an understanding of operational requirements and set strategic direction for organizational workflows.

• Discover opportunities to enhance business workflows through technological solutions.

• Engage in training and assist end users.

• Resolve issues and inquiries.

• Offer support to end users for issues logged in tracking systems.

• Review project and issue statuses with project leadership.

• Assign or delegate configuration tasks and other responsibilities to Application Analysts or Managed Services team members.

• Act on behalf of the Applications Manager for incident or problem resolution.

• Provide mentorship to peers and junior analysts.

• Lead the design and documentation of internal processes for ongoing improvement.

• Operate within cross-functional and complex matrix teams.

• Communicate with project leadership, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders.

• Adhere to and support the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma/general education diploma with 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

• More than 5 years of experience in developing or configuring technology solutions as an application analyst or in a project delivery capacity.

• Subject Matter Expert in one or more areas: patient identification workflows in healthcare, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.

• Must possess or be able to obtain relevant Epic software application certification within 8 weeks of hire.

• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

• Proven ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation.

• Current certification in Epic Beaker CP or EpicCare Link is preferred.

• Additional relevant Epic certifications are preferred, including Epic Genomics, Epic Aura, Epic Beaker AP, Epic Ambulatory, or Epic Orders.

• Experience in supporting or configuring Epic Aura workflows, particularly from a reference lab perspective, is preferred.

• Experience in a health system, reference laboratory, biotechnology, or life sciences setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with supporting multiple Epic applications and cross-functional Epic workflows is preferred.

• Experience with clinical laboratory operations, pathology, genetics, or oncology workflows is preferred.

• Experience leading medium-to-large Epic projects, upgrades, workflow optimizations, or significant application enhancements is preferred.

• Ability to work standard business hours and be on-call, with the possibility of nights and weekends.

• Willingness to travel approximately 5% of the working time.

• Capability to lift up to 10 pounds for around 5% of a typical working day.

• Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for roughly 90% of a typical working day.

• Willingness to comply with applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
