Senior Application Analyst – Epic Beaker, EpicCare Link

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in the design and configuration of business systems, including upgrades and enhancements for designated technology platforms.

• Act as the primary support contact for users of the application.

• Detect and resolve application issues, including those impacting other application teams.

• Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes.

• Develop and test system modifications.

• Recognize opportunities for platform performance improvements to support business processes and needs.

• Mentor junior analysts and oversee or assign tasks to other analysts.

• Lead the estimation process for enhancement or support requests.

• Direct workflow design, configure and test system changes, and analyze technical challenges.

• Collaborate with business systems stakeholders and software vendor implementation teams.

• Gain insight into operational requirements and enhance business workflows through technology.

• Participate in training sessions and work with end users.

• Address problems and inquiries as they arise.

• Provide support for tracked end-user issues.

• Review project and issue statuses with project leadership.

• Serve as a delegate for the Applications Manager during incident or problem resolution.

• Spearhead internal process design and documentation aimed at continuous IT improvement.

• Collaborate within cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with project leaders, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders.

• Uphold the company’s mission, values, and Quality Management System policies and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma/general education diploma with 4 years of relevant experience in place of a Bachelor’s degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in developing or configuring technology solutions in an application analyst or project delivery role.

• Subject Matter Expert in one or more of the following areas: patient identification workflows in healthcare, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.

• Must possess or have the ability to obtain relevant Epic software application certification within 8 weeks of hire.

• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required.

• Current certification in Epic Beaker CP or EpicCare Link is preferred.

• Additional relevant Epic certifications are preferred, such as Epic Genomics, Epic Aura, Epic Beaker AP, Epic Ambulatory, or Epic Orders.

• Experience in supporting or configuring Epic Aura workflows, particularly from a reference lab perspective, is preferred.

• Experience in a health system, reference laboratory, biotechnology, or life sciences environment is preferred.

• Experience in supporting multiple Epic applications and cross-functional Epic workflows is preferred.

• Experience in supporting clinical laboratory operations, pathology, genetics, or oncology workflows is preferred.

• Experience leading medium-to-large Epic projects, upgrades, workflow optimizations, or significant application enhancements is preferred.

• Ability to work standard business hours and be on-call, with the potential for nights and weekends.

• Ability to travel approximately 5% of working time is required.

• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for around 5% of a typical working day.

• Ability to work in front of a computer screen and/or engage in typing for about 90% of a typical working day.

• Ability to adhere to applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
