Senior Angular Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that align with the vision of the product and platform.

• Shape the technical direction through architecture reviews, RFCs, design discussions, and hands-on collaboration.

• Create and implement the product/platform architecture roadmap in collaboration with senior developers, architects, and tech leads.

• Balance the speed of delivery, quality, maintainability, and the long-term health of the platform.

• Decompose initiatives into parallelizable tasks that deliver incremental business value.

• Advocate for proposals from the design phase through to production implementation.

• Maintain technical documentation and generate new artifacts as necessary.

• Facilitate design discussions among various teams.

• Serve as a trusted technical leader by fostering collaboration, influence, and shared ownership.

• Mentor developers through design reviews, collaborative AI sessions, and constructive feedback.

• Assess emerging practices in front-end development, design systems, accessibility, and component development.

• Define and enhance the design system roadmap, covering Angular component architecture, design tokens, theming, documentation, packaging, and adoption strategies.

• Create, document, test, and maintain reusable accessible Angular components.

• Design and support module federation patterns for Angular applications.

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers, accessibility stakeholders, and engineering leaders.

• Act as a bridge between product, design, and engineering teams, clarifying trade-offs and resolving ambiguities.

• Develop implementation guidance, usage examples, migration notes, and workshops.

• Review front-end implementations and provide guidance on accessibility, component reuse, API design, styling architecture, and Angular patterns.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day tasks.

• Assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, and adherence to architectural standards.

• Identify and spearhead opportunities for agentic automation.

• Establish guidelines and feedback mechanisms for safe and effective AI tooling.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on front-end engineering in enterprise-scale web applications.

• Expert-level proficiency in Angular, including component architecture, dependency management, routing, build tools, performance considerations, and maintainable application structures.

• Demonstrated experience in building, maintaining, or significantly evolving a reusable component library or enterprise design system.

• Extensive proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and modern front-end architectural patterns.

• Strong comprehension of design tokens, theming, scalable styling architecture, component API design, documentation, and design-to-code collaboration workflows.

• Practical knowledge of building module federation for Angular applications and guiding teams on safe, scalable integration patterns.

• Solid understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and the ability to implement accessible Angular components using semantic HTML, ARIA, keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen-reader-friendly interaction patterns.

• Experience with Storybook or similar tools for component development, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Proven experience in mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.

• Strong grasp of software fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles, and a history of advocating for code quality.

• Experience with agentic-AI software development practices.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with a record of impact that extends beyond a single team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• A proactive approach to enhancing processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality.

• The tech stack includes TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS, Angular, Angular module federation, Storybook, Nx, npm package workflows, Figma, Jira, and Confluence.
