Senior Android Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

• Design and manage Android applications for a variety of Android devices.

• Connect Android applications with backend services.

• Convert designs and wireframes into top-quality code.

• Create, build, and sustain high-performance, reusable, and dependable Java code.

• Guarantee application performance, quality, and responsiveness.

• Detect and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.

• Work collaboratively with engineers and developers across various infrastructure layers.

• In-depth understanding of the Android SDK, various Android versions, and management of different screen sizes.

• Experience with RESTful APIs to link Android applications to backend services.

• Strong grasp of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.

• Background in offline storage, threading, and performance enhancement.

• Capability to design applications that utilize natural user interfaces, such as touch.

• Knowledge of additional sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers.

• Familiarity with the open-source Android ecosystem and libraries for common tasks.

• Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.

• Understanding of cloud messaging APIs and push notifications.

• Skill in benchmarking and optimization.
