This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong, +4 more countries.
• Take complete ownership of assigned business domains, managing everything from data and metric definitions to dashboards and stakeholder relationships.
• Conduct pricing and cost-saving analyses, forecasting, in-depth client evaluations, and commercial proposals.
• Discover and assess revenue opportunities, optimize pricing strategies, identify upsell/cross-sell potential, analyze retention drivers, and explore margin expansion possibilities.
• Convert analytical findings into straightforward recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business teams as an embedded decision support resource during meetings and decision-making processes.
• Transform recurring inquiries into permanent solutions through new columns, dashboards, or comprehensive documentation.
• Design and uphold approved views and metric definitions within Snowflake’s semantic layer.
• Develop and maintain dashboards using Metabase.
• Verify dashboard data, align it with Finance-owned figures, and troubleshoot discrepancies to identify root causes.
• Provide enablement documentation, conduct training sessions, hold weekly office hours, and offer Slack support.
• Work together with Data Engineering on data ingestion and modeling strategies.
• Partner with Data Product Managers to prioritize initiatives and manage rollouts.
• Collaborate with upstream engineers, data engineers, analytics engineers, and data product managers in a distributed team environment.
• Report directly to the Analytics Lead within the Data & Analytics functional team.
• Minimum of 8 years in analytics engineering or related analytics roles.
• Comprehensive ownership of a business domain’s data, metrics, and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical acumen with the ability to convert ambiguous business questions into structured, actionable insights.
• Comfortable collaborating with commercial, finance, or risk management teams.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling principles.
• Experience in building or maintaining semantic or metrics layers.
• Practical experience with modern cloud data warehouses and BI tools, particularly Snowflake and Metabase.
• Familiarity with validation, reconciliation, and investigation of discrepancies to determine root causes.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and educate non-technical stakeholders for self-service analytics.
• Demonstrated experience in developing pricing, profitability, or growth analyses that have shaped commercial strategy, investment decisions, or client proposals.
• Experience in the fintech, payments, or card-issuing sectors is a plus.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation and testing frameworks is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Python or another scripting language for validation and automation is beneficial.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted analytics is a plus.
• Experience contributing to data governance is desirable.
• Proven track record of creating revenue or opportunity dashboards, pricing models, or commercial scorecards is beneficial.
