Analytics Engineer – Supply Data Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume complete responsibility for supply data, transforming it into reliable datasets that are ready for analysis.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Supply stakeholders to create a definitive source of truth.

• Recognize overlapping data requirements across forecasts, optimization, and reporting.

• Develop reusable mart tables.

• Streamline transformations to avoid requiring downstream teams to recreate logic.

• Construct and oversee Python and GCP pipelines.

• Document schemas, data lineage, and data agreements.

• Oversee IAM roles, data access limitations, cost monitoring, performance optimization, and data integrity checks.

• Guide junior analysts and enhance SQL capabilities throughout the Supply organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in analytics engineering or a related field.

• Proficient Python skills for ETL processes and orchestration.

• Practical experience with GCP, BigQuery, Git, and CI/CD practices.

• Advanced SQL skills, including proficiency in complex CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.

• Ability to analyze intricate systems and devise structured improvement strategies.

• Proactive approach to managing platform health, monitoring, governance, and reliability.

• Capability to balance long-term system architecture with immediate business needs.

• Cross-team collaboration skills to establish data agreements and align with stakeholders.

• Familiarity with modern transformation and orchestration tools such as dbt or Dagster is a plus.

• Knowledge of AWS Batch, Lambda, and Step Functions is advantageous.

• Understanding of supply chain or logistics is beneficial.

• Experience with data cataloging and data observability tools is a plus.
