This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Take ownership of Core Data Products.
• Design, develop, and maintain dbt models in Snowflake that embody key business logic and act as dependable sources of truth. Establish clear ownership, usage expectations, and roadmaps for your data products.
• Create Trustworthy, Scalable Models.
• Construct models that are user-friendly, tested, documented, and cater to a diverse range of stakeholders. Evaluate success through usage metrics, decreased support requirements, and SLA coverage.
• Ensure Reliability and Observability.
• Oversee pipelines, monitor schema changes, and implement testing and alerting to guarantee consistent data quality and uptime.
• Foster Iteration Through Feedback.
• Gather and respond to feedback from users. Use metrics, interviews, and usage logs to continuously enhance your data products and documentation.
• Promote AI Adoption in Analytics.
• Advocate for the integration of agentic and AI-assisted tools in data workflows. Lead pilot projects, assess their impact, and scale successful practices across the team.
• Collaborate Across Functions.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations to coordinate on metrics, instrumentation, experimentation, and data requirements.
• Mentor and Elevate Standards.
• Review code, advise on design decisions, and share insights to enhance the Analytics Engineering expertise within the team.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related role involving modern data stacks (dbt, Fivetran/Airbyte, Airflow, Snowflake/BigQuery, etc.).
• Profound understanding of data modeling principles (e.g., dimensional modeling, ELT best practices, testing strategies, etc.).
• Expertise in SQL and version control (Git), with a proven track record of deploying production-quality data pipelines.
• Experience in close collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Engineering, Operations, etc.) to translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in dynamic environments, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and a problem-solving approach.
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Hex, Looker) and a commitment to fostering a self-serve data culture.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the capability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
