This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Perform comprehensive research to create, maintain, and enhance databases for semiconductor components and their applications.
• Utilize expertise to address data gaps and clearly document assumptions in a transparent manner.
• Develop market forecasts that reflect the dynamics of the semiconductor industry.
• Articulate the rationale behind forecasts to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with semiconductor and equipment analysts, as well as other teams within Omdia.
• Collect data, validate assumptions, and construct a unified market perspective.
• Position Omdia as a key source for insights and innovation in the semiconductor sector.
• Contribute to the research agenda and establish thought leadership.
• Address inquiries from colleagues and clients regarding datasets, methodologies, and assumptions.
• Build relationships with clients and adapt the research offerings based on their needs.
• Take ownership of the Application Market Forecast Tool model and its datasets.
• Modify data structures and integrate new research areas driven by customer demand.
• Collaborate with sales and product development teams to uncover opportunities, support renewals, and enhance research offerings.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry or in research analysis.
• Strong grasp of semiconductor components and the market forces at play.
• Ability to synthesize insights from various sources and think strategically about market trends and dynamics.
• Demonstrated capability to build relationships across teams and work collaboratively.
• Confident in forming and articulating opinions on industry trends, supported by thorough data and analysis.
• Advanced skills in MS Excel, including proficiency with pivot tables.
• Enthusiasm for exploring new research areas, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
• Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
