Senior Analyst, Reporting and Forecasting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the current Databricks environment that supports internal reporting needs.

• Develop data pipelines from various sources to establish a cohesive “one source of truth” framework.

• Ensure the availability of Power BI reports, implement enhancements, create visualizations, and manage report distribution.

• Administer the reporting and storage of snapshots for budgets, historical data, and gross-to-net P&L assumptions.

• Convert routine and ad hoc analyses into user-friendly reports and insights.

• Take ownership of the foundational sales forecast in collaboration with Field Sales.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Operations during the monthly S&OP cycles.

• Assist trade owners in summarizing and reporting on trade-system expenditures.

• Present findings to the business and work together cross-functionally to develop solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of experience in CPG analytics, demand planning, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on business intelligence.

• Proficient in statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.

• Skilled in writing queries and developing databases.

• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau.

• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity.

• Comfortable working with multiple data sources.

• Capable of influencing decision-making across various levels and functions.

• Ability to make independent decisions and function with minimal supervision.

• Diligent in maintaining thorough, well-organized notes regarding assumptions and programming modifications.

• Knowledge and experience with statistical techniques and concepts, including regression, distribution properties, and statistical testing.

• Previous experience with SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, NetSuite, Vividly, or other TPM systems, as well as syndicated data interfaces like Nielsen, Circana, and SPINS, is advantageous.
