This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and business intelligence professionals.
• Recruit, nurture, retain, prioritize, and elevate the technical capabilities of analytics practitioners.
• Propel company strategy by identifying data-driven opportunities, quantifying them, and providing actionable insights.
• Manage the core metric framework, which includes utilization, retention, net revenue retention, margin, and marketplace supply/demand dynamics.
• Define the analytics roadmap in collaboration with Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market leadership.
• Examine consumption-based revenue and customer behavior, focusing on cohort retention, usage growth and churn, savings plan adoption, spot versus reserved mix, and serverless workload economics.
• Create a self-service analytics platform for routine inquiries from stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure effective modeling, data quality, freshness, and adherence to SOC 2 standards.
• Implement experimentation and measurement practices along with interpretation guidelines.
• Represent analytics in executive and board-level presentations.
• Convert ambiguous business queries into clear analyses and actionable recommendations.
• 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with a track record of managing business-critical metrics visible to executives.
• 3+ years of experience leading analytics or BI teams.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in SQL and contemporary analytics engineering practices, including dbt or similar tools.
• Proficient in warehouse modeling and performance-related trade-offs.
• Familiarity with usage-based, consumption, or marketplace business models.
• Experience with utilization, unit economics, usage fluctuations, and the dynamics of two-sided supply and demand.
• Capability to define a metric framework from a chaotic starting point and promote organization-wide acceptance.
• Strong judgment and a sense of urgency.
• Ability to derive insights from evidence and data while focusing on business outcomes.
• Capacity to excel in startup settings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate across Product, Finance, Data Engineering, Security, Go-to-Market, and Supply departments.
• Successful completion of a background check.
• U.S. work authorization; Runpod is unable to sponsor employment visas.
• Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent significant industry experience in analytics leadership (preferred).
